Under construction for several years and undergoing regulatory approvals for two additional years, Professional Audio Designs provided infrastructure design for A/V systems on the outset of this project featuring:
$1 billion healthcare research manufacturing facility
Greater than 1 million square feet
Multi-building campus
Professional Audio Designs’ scope of work on this project included designing the A/V infrastructure for:
(39) Conference Rooms
(12) Huddle Spaces
(6) Dining Areas
(2) Laboratories
(9) Offices
(3) Training Rooms
Executive Conference Room
Fitness Center
Visitor & Commons Area
Audio and video products are particularly susceptible to becoming discontinued or obsolete within a couple years of being released on the market, making it impractical to design A/V systems for a several-year project around specific technologies.
Designing flexible infrastructure allows for technology to evolve throughout the course of the project. As the project completion nears — 5-7 years after the project kickoff — the customer can continue to determine their intended use of each room and have it outfitted with A/V systems as they choose. The customer can also choose to hold off on furnishing A/V into these rooms on “Day One” and add it in as their company grows.
